How to Install Kodi 18.2 Leia on Windows 10

There are multiple methods to install Kodi Leia 18.0 on Windows 10. I’m showing two different methods to install it on Windows PC-

Method- 1: Install Kodi 18.2 via setup file

This is the easiest method to install Kodi 18 on Windows 10 PC. All you need to do is, remove existing Kodi from your PC and delete all associated folders for the better experience with the new version. So, here I’m going to divide this tutorial into two segments.

The first segment is about removing Kodi and it’s associated folder and then we’ll install Kodi 18.0 Leia on Windows PC.

Part:1- How to remove Kodi 17.6/18.1 on Windows 10?

Follow these steps to uninstall Kodi 17.6/18.1 from Windows 10 PC-

Step-1: Go to Control Panel

First of all, press the Windows button on your PC keyboard. Now type control panel in the search box. Then open Control Panel. Else, you can ask Cortana to open Control Panel directly.

Step-2: Click on Uninstall a Program

Below the Programs option, there is an option to Uninstall a Program. Click on that…

Part:2- How to install Kodi 18.2 (Leia) on Windows 10?

Now, we are going to start the installation process of Kodi 18.2 on Windows 10. Follow these steps-

Step-1: Download Kodi 18.2 (Leia)

Kodi 18.1 (Leia) stable version has been released for Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS, and Raspberry Pi. You can download the setup file from the official website as per your operating system.

Go to this link and choose Windows from the OS list- https://kodi.tv/download

Step-2: Choose the 64bit installer

Click on the 64bit installer of Kodi v18.2 “Leia”. Once you click on that, a file will start downloading.

Step-3: Wait… Setup is downloading

As you can see, a setup file is downloading in your browser. Now, wait… It can take 1 minute to download (depending upon your internet speed).

Step-4: Double click on the setup file

Go to download folder and double-click on the Kodi-18.2-Leia-x64.exe file to being the installation.

Step-5: Click Next

A Kodi Setup Wizard is appearing on your screen. Click on the Next button as shown below.

Step-6: Agree to license

You must have to agree with XBMC license in order to use Kodi. Click on “I Agree”

Choose all the Kodi components you want to install and then click on Next button.

Step-9: Wait…

Wait… All the Kodi components are being installed on your Windows 10 device.

Step-10: Finish

Check “Run Kodi” box and then hit the finish button. Kodi 18.1 will be launched on your device.
